The TJS PTO Readathon Committee hopes to inspire a love for reading, build reading stamina, and celebrate learning in our school while raising funds to help support yearly PTO programs and events. The readathon is a fundraiser that uses the platform provided by  Committee responsibilities include: coordinating with the company to provide dates, class lists, and group page info, corresponding with teachers and parents prior to and throughout the event, promoting the event with posters and classroom visits prior to kickoff, overseeing the website, organizing the prize plan, and ensuring checks are delivered to treasurers. The Readathon platform is very user friendly and the company provides excellent support to help ensure success. It is beneficial to have at least 2 volunteers to coordinate this program efficiently.
