Room Parent Coordinator

Coordinate room parent activities that help enrich the school community, such as: parent meet and greets, classroom parties, volunteering within the school and teacher appreciation.

New Student Committee

This committee is perfect for outgoing and friendly people who are willing to connect with and welcome new students and their parents to TJS in the beginning of the year. Responsibilities include arranging informal Kindergarten play dates throughout the summer, the Kindergarten and new student popsicle party, buddy families for new students in older grades, and coordinating a new family coffee at the start of the school year.

The International Club

The mission of The International Club at TJS is to assist new international families with the unique situations and cultural differences that may arise when moving to this particular community. It serves as a support network for all international families. It is also meant to embrace the cultural differences that exist within the TJS community and provide opportunities to celebrate the variety and wonderful positive aspects of life that these unique cultures bring with them.

Within the large umbrella of the Madison community it will represent and support its international nature.

Communications

PTO Communications Committee are responsible for the TJS PTO Website, Social Media & News Emails

  • Liaising with PTO presidents and committee members to get details on PTO activities, fundraisers and events.

  • Subsequently adding details to the PTO website, emailing PTO directory on PTO News including events, fundraisers and any other communications.

  • Social media (Instagram & Facebook) consists of quick updates to keep “followers” up to date in real time.

  • Volunteer positions consist of 2-3 people. Full year commitment typically requires small time commitment most weeks during the school year.
